I've always known that I loved it, but didn't really have as much of an appreciation for it as I thought I did. Then looking at the plethora of fashion designs, craft ideas, photography (one of my loves), and care package ideas (my boyfriend is currently deployed) I discovered all the amazing recipes that looked so good I wanted to make them to see if they were as good as they looked.
Today as I was preparing our snacks for the Super Bowl I thought, "There hasn't been one recipe I've made that I didn't improvise and make it my own". I posted pics on Facebook as I made the snacks and comment after comment, like after like just kept coming in.
I was talking to my friend Amber and threw the idea out there to her about starting a food/recipe blog. I asked her to help me come up with a name as well as my 2 boys...and so the thought train began, trying to figure out a name for my blog.
Next thing I know Amber said, "Skinny Girl, Big Appetite"....BINGO!! Amber knows that about 18 months ago I had the gastric sleeve done and to date I've lost 100lbs, so when she came up with the title it had not only my success, but the appreciation I have for food in it as well.
Thus the name, "Skinny Gurl, Big Appetite" was born and here I am starting this journey. Take this journey with me....I hope you enjoy it as much as I have!! :)
Buon Appetito,
Skinny Gurl, Big Appetite
